When Should My Child Have Their First “Routine” Dental Visit?

Your child’s first routine dental visit should take place by their first birthday. During this visit, we will gently examine their teeth and gums and, if necessary, take X-rays to detect any signs of decay or assess the development of permanent teeth beneath the gums. We may also clean your child’s teeth and apply fluoride treatment to help prevent cavities. Additionally, we’ll ensure your child gets enough fluoride at home and, most importantly, provide guidance on properly cleaning and caring for their teeth.
